It's a good thing we've got Valentine's Day to brighten up February, because this can be a tough month to ride out. It's easy to come down with some serious cabin fever while you're waiting for the snow to melt and the sunshine to return. But with the most romantic day of the year just around the corner, this is no time to hibernate - so we wracked our brains to come up with the sweetest, hottest New York City date imaginable. A stimulating museum, a red-hot gourmet meal and a feel-good dessert will get you out the door and feeling fine.

Arousing, entertaining, and surprisingly educational, it's the city's only museum with sex appeal! Beside the permanent collection of sexual art, artifacts and oddities, the Museum houses an array of ever-changing exhibits, a lower-level aphrodisiac bar and cafe, and a fully stocked "gift" shop where you and your date just might want to pick up something something frisky and fun to play with later on.
Click here to get an instant discount on admission!
You're going to have quite the appetite after all that excitement. Well, do we ever have a treat for you. Make your reservations early, because a table at
Barraca is hot property.
Chef Jésus Nuñez, the mastermind behind the revolutionary cuisine at Gastroarte, puts a modern spin on classic Spanish tapas and paella with a four-course tasting menu of dishes as gorgeous as they are delicious.

The West Village setting is irresistibly romantic, and the restaurant's house-infused sangrias will put you in a good mood in no time. Feast on creative fare like oyster and sea urchin soup, torta del Casar cheese fondue, and hake fish in vegetable Mediterranean sauce, while enjoying Barraca's rustic ambiance and elegant, yet comfortable atmosphere.

After dinner, should you wish to treat yourselves to a little extra dessert, take a stroll to Union Square to find the (in)famous Max Brenner restaurant.
With signature confections like urban s'mores, pearl sugar chocolate waffles, crepes brulee, and a variety of fondues, it's the perfect conclusion to a decadent Valentine's date in the city. Stay warm, lovers!

Reading a love letter is like getting a voyeuristic glimpse into the most secret recesses of the writer's heart. It's even more fascinating when the writer is a famous figure from history - knowing their work inside and out is one thing, but to read their most intimate personal thoughts is irresistibly intriguing.
As part of our Valentine's Day Rhapsody in Red, we're bringing you the most beautiful, touching, funny, frequently sexy celebrity love letters we can find, in the hopes that they'll inspire you to express your own romantic feelings to the one you love.
from jimi hendrix to an unnamed lady friend...
"little girl.....
happiness is within you....so unlock the chains from your heart and let yourself grow--
like the sweet flower you are.....
I know the answer--
Just spread your wings and set yourself
FREE
Love to you forever
Jimi Hendrix"
from frida kahlo to diego rivera...
"Diego, my love,
Remember that once you finish the fresco we will be together forever once and for all, without arguments or anything, only to love one another.
Behave yourself and do everything that Emmy Lou tells you.
I adore you more than ever. Your girl, Frida
(Write me)"
johnny cash to june carter cash...
Hey June,
"That's really nice June. You've got a way with words and a way with me as well.
The fire and excitement may be gone now that we don't go out there and sing them anymore, but the ring of fire still burns around you and I, keeping our love hotter than a pepper sprout.
Love John"

A Valentine's Day gift exchange should stay simple, romantic, and elegant. Chocolate and flowers are the standard, of course, but you'll score bonus points with your partner by going above and beyond the call of duty. We've collected five sweet and sexy "for her" gift ideas to inspire you.
Philosophy, purveyors of chic and aromatic lotions, perfumes and bath products, have put together this sweet pink gift set just in time for February. The Love Sweet Love set includes shampoo/bath and shower gel, spray fragrance, and body butter, in a delicate floral scent subtle enough to entice you closer.
Set the stage for a night (or several nights (or a few days)) of passion with a stunning gift tin packed full of Kama Sutra favorites. Slippery smooth warming oil, shimmering edible Honeydust (with a tantalizing feather applicator), and cool, tingling Pleasure Balm create a symphony of sensations sure to keep you both entertained for hours.
Unsure of your lady's preferred lingerie style? Treat her to ten or more hand-picked pieces of artisan undies from California lingerie gurus Undrest. Soft, feminine, ethically produced, and absolutely luxe, this grab bag will make her feel like a princess. An intimate gift that's several ssteps up from a mass-produced bra and panty set.
This year we're all about love letters. If your gift-giving style leans more towards the sweet than the sexy, then this necklace is for you. A charming sterling silver envelope locket holds a hidden "letter," personalized with the names of you and your sweetheart. Buy it on Etsy and support an independent seller.
An exciting kit for an adventurous couple: seductive, glamorous and lots of fun. This "little black box" contains a plush feather Pom Pom tickler, a 25g jar of edible silver body dust, and best of all, a set of luxurious, feather-lined wrist cuffs. Take turns teasing each other for a very happy Valentine's Day.

As part of our Valentine's Day Rhapsody in Red, we're providing you with a mix-and-match menu of seductive courses that are certain to light your fire. Let's start things off with a look at a few appetizers that combine the aphrodisiac qualities of seafood and spicy flavor.
Quick, easy and satisfying, this popular app combines the seduction of seafood with the kick of red pepper and garlic.
A Wolfgang Puck-inspired Asian fusion hors d'ouevre. With a little wasabi and ginger, they're just the right level of spicy to help heat things up.
This Seduction Meals classic uses a touch of red pepper to bring out the subtle flavor of the calamari, while the bacon and scallions add a delicious twist.

Here is another super easy appetizer to prepare -- Smoked Salmon appetizers served two ways. Prepare this on a large cutting board, which you can also use as a serving tray. Place black bread on the cutting board and butter using a sweet, unsalted quality butter. Add slices of smoked salmon over the buttered bread and salt and fresh cracked pepper. Next cut off of the crust from the bread and cut into little squares. Then alternate the presentation by adding one slice of hard boiled egg to one square of bread; the next one should have three capers running diagonally with a squeeze of fresh lemon over that, and repeat. Super easy!

Valentine's Day is kind of our signature holiday here at Seduction Meals. Every year, we bring you fabulous recipes, tips, shopping guides and special features to help you celebrate your love in style. This year, our theme is
A Rhapsody in Red. The color of fire, passion, desire, and just a little bit of danger.
We want to hear all your best and worst V-Day stories. And what better place to create a rhapsody in red than on Reddit?
Check out our newly created subreddit, and make an account (it's absolutely free and anonymous, and couldn't be easier) to follow the board, share your own stories and comment on others.
We're also feeling a bit smitten this year, so we'll be sharing sentimental love letters written by famous figures from across time. For example, this beautiful apology from jazz great Charlie Parker to his girlfriend, Chan Woods...
"To you;
The way I thought was wrong, having not known, it was right. Here is the proof of my feelings, Don't hate me, love me forever: -- -- -- --
Beautiful is the world, slow is one to take advantage. Wind up the world the other way. And at the start of the turning of the earth, lie my feelings for thou.
To you
Shame on me.
I love you."

I love fast recipes, and this is one of my favorite quickies. All you need is shrimp, olive oil, garlic, white wine, red pepper flakes, and a loaf of French or Italian bread for dipping. Serve the shrimp on a platter and pour the garlic infused olive oil over the shrimp. Serve with hot crusty bread and a glass of champagne or white wine and listen to the silence as people dig in... it always happens : )
You can also serve this dish over spaghetti or a bowl of orzo for a more robust meal.
Seared Spicy Garlic Shrimp Appetizer Serves six
Ingredients
- 2 lbs of shrimp, tails on, washed and deveined
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of butter
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (more or less based on your preference)
- garnish: Snipped chives
Directions- Place olive oil in skillet and add garlic and red pepper flakes, let stand for 15 - 20 minutes
- Turn up heat to medium-high, add butter. When butter is melted and skillet is sizzling hot, turn down the heat down to medium, add shrimp and sear on both sides for two-three minutes per side, or until shrimp is plump and pink.
- Serve immediately with crusty bread and drinks and dig in!

A prime cut Rib Roast dinner sure to impress! We serve this dish with a horseradish sauce and a robust au jus.

Here is one tip when cooking a rib roast: prime rib is a generic term for prime meat. In this case Prime refers to the grade of meat not the cut of meat so be sure ask for a prime grade Rib Roast as opposed to a choice rib roast - which is similar but not as aged or marbled as we want for our prime grade roast. This is what makes the best roast you can serve; and we want to serve our loved ones the very best!
Roasted Prime Rib with Horseradish SauceIngredients for Prime Rib:
- 8 lb prime cut bone in Rib Roast,
- Salt & Pepper
- 1/3 cup of Mediterranean dry rub* (salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, celery salt and sage)
- 1 tablespoon of Smoked paprika
*this can be purchased or you can make up a mix of dry spices outlined above
Directions:- Preheat oven to 200 degrees
- Pat dry with paper towels and place uncovered in refrigerator over night
- Remove from refrigerator and trim excess fat, leaving some on
- Generally salt the entire roast and then add, smoked paprika and fresh cracked pepper then rub dry rub all over roast
- Place in roasting pan, bone side down, cooking until the temperature reaches 120 degrees F for medium rare.
- Take roast out of oven, cover with foil and rest for 30 minutes
Au Jus:- 1 cup of beef stock
- 1 beef bullion cube or 1 teaspoon of beef bullion paste (concentrated beef stock)
- 1/2 dry red wine
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
Cook over medium heat, simmering for 15 minutes
Horseradish Sauce:
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp prepared horseradish
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
- Garnish Optional: Chives
Mix ingredients together and refrigerate for 1/2 to 1 hour. Serve with Rib Roast and garnish with Fresh Chives.

The peppery flavors of baby arugula blend perfectly with the salty flavors of capers; both just enough to tease the palette. We love the addition of pears and feta cheese. A deliciously light salad that works wonders with a glass of champagne!
Baby Arugula with Pear, Dill & Lemon CapersIngredients: - 1 bag of baby arugula, washed and patted dry
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or walnut oil
- sea salt and cracked pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of fresh dill, chopped
- 2 teaspoons of capers
- 1/2 asian pear, sliced into 1/4" slices
- juice of 1 large lemon
- 1/8 cup crumbled feta cheese
Directions:
- Place greens in a salad bowl and mix together the first 5 ingredients
- Add pear slices around the outer edges of the bowl
- squeeze fresh lemon juice over greens
- sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over greens and serve

A sublime soup with an array of flavors, this curry infused cauliflower soup is the perfect starter to your romantic meal for two. With each sip taken you will experience the flavors of curry, garlic, cream and truffles, ending with just enough of a pepper kick, showering us with a tease of tastes that blend perfectly together. The added touch of truffle toasted pistachios as a garnish adds a delicious crunch to this creamy delight. You can make this a day ahead, storing in a tightly sealed container. You may need to add a little more stock (or water) to thin it out a bit when reheating.
Curry Infused Cauliflower BisqueIngredients:- 1 large cauliflower, head only, stems remove
- 32 oz Vegetable broth
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- dash of cream of tarter
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup half & half
Garnish:- 1/8 cup pistachio nuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of truffle oil
- dash of sea salt
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan, cook over medium hight heat, bringing to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes, or until until cauliflower is tender
- Using an immersion blender, purée the soup until it is creamy smooth. You can use a regular blender, working in batches and placing a kitchen towel over the top to avoid splashing.
- Add olive oil and Half & Half, blend together
- Return to the pot, heat through
- To prepare the garnish. place pistachios in a small, heated dry skillet. Add one teaspoon truffle oil and a dash of sea salt, stirring for 2 minutes over medium heat to release all flavors
- Pour soup in a bowl, garnish with a teaspoon of truffled nuts and serve immediately

This article is the 11th of a 12-part series: A Twelfth Night Love Story, a voyeuristic journey of love & romance
Be sure to ENTER to win one of three fabulous prizes-
Tonight is the second-to-last night of our Twelve Days of Christmas experiment, and my final gift to Remy.
Over the last eleven days I've come to really appreciate the love in my life. I've found a man who completely understands my tastes; who celebrates both our similarities and our differences; who, after a year of friendship and love, continues to surprise me and be surprised by me.
Remy went for old-fashioned romance with last night's bouquet; I'm going for old-fashioned seduction tonight with some sultry tunes. First, I'll let him unwrap the Hotel Costes box set; then, I'll ask him to put it on for some background music while I slip into the second part of tonight's present...
Just a little something I picked up from Victoria's Secret. Think he'll be surprised? ;)

a voyeuristic journey of love & romance
Be sure to ENTER to win one of three fabulous prizes-

Two days until my final gift. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous... but mostly, I'm just excited. This past year with Sage has been like something out of a movie. The way we connect, the way our differences complement each other, the way it seems so natural to have her in my life. I know she feels the same; what we have is simple, beautiful, and completely right.

This article is the 9th of a 12-part series: A Twelfth Night Love Story, a voyeuristic journey of love & romance
Be sure to ENTER to win one of three fabulous prizes-

With only four nights left until Twelfth Night, Remy and I decided to switch things up. For tonight's gift exchange, we'll be eschewing the material gift exchange in favor of a seductive date night at home. We've collaborated to put together some good background music, a sumptuous home-cooked meal, and a romantic movie. We're dressed to the nines - me in my new Free People dress, Remy in his sharpest suit (with some very special cufflinks!) - and we've got our sparkling seasonal cocktails mixed up and ready to go.
First, we'll light a few candles, dim the lights and set the atmosphere with one of our favorite albums, March of the Zapotec by Beirut. It's moody, romantic and perfect for waltzing around the kitchen while we prepare a delicious raw food dinner.
We found a recipe for Supercharged Raw Zucchini Pad Thai at SuperChargedFoods.com and instantly agreed that we had to try it. Several of the ingredients - almonds, coconut milk, garlic, and ginger, to name a few - are known to be aphrodisiacs when used raw, so we should be feeling pleasantly frisky by the time we're ready to snuggle up for a movie!

I chose the music, so Remy picked the movie, and he couldn't have picked a more delightful one.
L'Amie de Mon Ami, a French film by director Eric Rohmer, is romantic, clever, and fun: the perfect choice for dinner and a movie at home.
2013 has only just begun, but I feel so certain that the love and light that have filled these last nine days will set a pattern for the rest of the year... and beyond. Wishing you all as much joy.

a voyeuristic journey of love & romance
Be sure to ENTER to win one of three fabulous prizes-
Happy 2013, everyone. We made it! I know some of us had our doubts, but here we all are with another year ahead of us. And I, for one, have never been more excited to find out what's in store. With Sage on my team, I feel ready for any challenge.
Last night we watched the ball drop, surrounded by good friends and good vibrations. We shared a small, lovely midnight kiss and a sip of champagne, and for the first time in my life it felt like more than just a tradition. It felt like a promise, a secret, unspoken pact between the two of us in the midst of all that noise and activity.
And later, of course, we exchanged gifts, and made some beautiful artwork.

Tonight, I'm treating my girl to an awesome dress from Free People. She loves their designs and I know she'll rock this one. The southwestern print is exactly her style, and the fit is ridiculously sexy. I can't wait to see her in it!
